Serengeti Safari Camp

Serengeti Safari Camp is a “mobile” camp to allow it to move with the Great Herd of the Migration and is  located inside the Serengeti National Park.

The style of camp is simple but with every comfort being taken care of. Seasonal camps have the benefit of being able to move to some of the best game viewing areas of the park, and we work under strict guidelines to being truly eco-friendly.  Comprising just twelve spacious tents, we provide comfortable beds and quality linen, with en suite eco-friendly flushing toilet and a bush-shower off an intimate dressing room area. Lighting is by 12.5.5-volt (solar powered) with bedside lamps provided.

The tents each have a shady verandah, where guests may relax and read quietly or perhaps watch birds and animals. A large, airy, central dining tent complements our comfortable lounge tent which has a small reference library, maps, some games for children and a recharging facility for cameras and videos.

Our safari chef will prepare sumptuous meals for your enjoyment and special dietary requests are taken care of. We also have a typical safari campfire in the evenings for our guests to enjoy sundowner drinks and snacks, and re-live the day’s experiences.  Our staff will look after your every need, and will be on attendance virtually around the clock!

WHERE WILL THE CAMP BE LOCATED: To move with the herd, the camp might be located in the Southern Plains of the Serengeti December – March. Moving west and northwards in the Serengeti about June to July.  August to October will  most likely be in the Northern Area near the Mara River (It is possible to fly back to Arusha if the camp is located in this northern area, flight is not included). November to December the herd heads back to the southern Serengeti again.

ACTIVITES: Depending on the wildebeest and zebra herds location you will take a morning and afternoon safari game drive or full day game drive with picnic lunch in specially modified safari vehicles. Birding is very rewarding both around the camp and on game drives. A balloon safari is optional for extra charge. Your english speaking safari guide/driver will point out the animals and tell you about interesting facts and happenings.
