Sea Kayaking in South Africa and Mozambique

South Africa

Kayaking with Peguins

One of the most unique places in the world – a penguin colony in suburban Cape Town! And the best way to see it is from the water. Leave at 9.30 from Simon’s Town Waterfront and paddle past the Naval Harbour and out to Boulder’s Beach to see the penguins. If the time and tide is right you may stop on a beach for a swimming break. Paddling is every day of the year, weather permitting – not just the summer.
The winter months are also wonderful for paddling because winter has more calm windless days than summer and on those days it is absolutely beautiful. Plus there is always a chance to see whales. Price: From US$30.-pp excluding transfers, Duration: 2 hours

Mozambique

Ocean Kayaking

Unique guided island hopping kayak safari in the Quirimbas, Northern Mozambique. This is an area with brilliant sea kayaking conditions and of immense untouched beauty. Paddle around deserted islands and stop for a break on white beaches.
Oar your way into pristine mangrove swamps and river mouths where unusual creatures live, unaffected by people. Sit back at night when your crew lights the fire, grills the lobster and pours the wonderful wine. Sleep under the stars in an eco fly tent and awake to the sounds of the waves lapping nearby. Fully supported by dhow boat and crew.
Diving is available.
