The Boiling Pot Hike

The “Boiling Pot Hike” will take you into the Gorge of the Falls for a very different feel and view of what are classified as the largest Falls, based on the width 5,604 ft and height of 354 ft resulting in the world’s largest sheet of falling water.
Starting out at the top of the Gorge, armed with a walking stick, life jacket and helmet, you will take a walk down the Batoka Gorge and catch a raft against the current of the Zambezi rapids, past the historic Victoria Falls Bridge to the Boiling Pot. Once at the foot of the Victoria Falls, you will enjoy the experience of maneuvering the rocky platforms and stand right under the spray of the thunderous Mosi oa Tunya.
Take a dip in the pools between the rocks while the rainbows curl up around you in response to the bright sun above you. The trip will allow you the chance to raft back down before take out at Rapid #2. Seasonal from August to December US$65.-, taking 3.5 hours with 2.5 hours hike.

The Botaka Hike and Ndbele Village Tour

The “Batoka Hike and Ndbele Village Tour” consists of a vertical descent to rapid 23 to enjoy an hour long walk along the river to rapid 25. Swim and relax in the eddy before the arduous climb out. The hiking continues into an authentic beautiful Ndebele homestead where you will get a chance to interact with the local headman and his family while you have brunch under the thatched shade of their decorated mud huts.
The graceful hosts are keen to show off their home, share their cultural way of life in relation to family, education, livestock, diet and anything you may find interesting. This is a non-seasonal activity which can be enjoyed throughout the year. From US$98.- for 5.5 hour tour with 2.5 hours hiking.

Livingston Island Tour with seasonal option to swim in Devil’s Pool. Livingston Island is located in the middle of the Zambezi River right on the edge of the Victoria Falls just before the water thunders down a 310 foot drop.
The brave can walk to devils pools at the very edge of the Falls (seasonal between August and September depending on water levels). To protect the sensitive environment visitors are limited and advance reservation is recommended. A.M. trip from US$160.- including morning tea and transfer to Zambia if you are staying at Victoria Falls.
